What Are 3 Interesting Facts About the Super Bowl?

The Super Bowl is the biggest and most important American football game of the year. Every year, millions of people watch the game, which determines the champion of the National Football League (NFL). The game is usually held in early February and played between the winners of the NFL’s American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC).

While many people know that the Super Bowl is a big deal, there are still some things that might surprise even die-hard fans. Here are three interesting facts about America’s favorite sporting event.

Tom Brady has played in ten Super Bowls

Tom Brady, considered one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, is also the NFL’s most-recognized star. This is evidenced by the fact that Brady has appeared in ten Super Bowls during his career, more than any other player and leaving every other quarterback in his dust. Despite being 41 years old, Brady led the New England Patriots to a record-setting sixth Super Bowl victory. His unmatched ability to lead teams to success has cemented him in sports history as an undeniable champion and icon.

The average cost of a 30-second commercial during the Super Bowl

It’s no surprise that advertising during the Super Bowl comes with a hefty price tag. The average cost of a 30-second commercial is $5 million, making it an event unlike any other. These prices reflect the unmatched viewership that the Super Bowl generates — an estimated 100 million viewers have tuned into the historical event each year since 2010.

Beyond that, advertisers also benefit from the exposure for days leading up to and after the game as top stories on news outlets across the country. With such a large captive audience, it’s no wonder companies spend big on Super Bowl advertisements.

The most expensive ticket for a Super Bowl

Attending a Super Bowl game is a dream for many. However, this exclusive experience doesn’t come cheap. The most expensive ticket for Super Bowl LV was sold at an astounding price of $73,833 – nearly equivalent to the cost of a luxury car. This exorbitant bill highlights a few facts about the most celebrated event in American sports culture.

First, it’s one of the (if not the) biggest sporting spectacles in the world. Second, fans are willing to spend their hard-earned money for this once-in-a-lifetime moment. Third, it demonstrates how well organized and systematically run the event truly is by providing ample entertainment with its colorful atmosphere and prelude matches – such as the halftime show and multiple accompanying activities.

Conclusion
The Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated and celebrated events in American sports culture. It’s no wonder, then, that some details about this grand event might surprise even the most informed fans. With its unparalleled viewership and entertainment value, there is no doubt that this event will remain an iconic spectacle for many years to come.

And, while we talk about things that shaped the Super Bowl, we can’t forget the Chiefs vs. Eagles matchup – who knows what surprises await us when these two giants clash on February 12th!

The Rules Of Being A Good NFL Fan

When it comes to supporting an NFL team, you will find that there are rules about how to be a good fan. Football is the biggest sport in the US, and there are constantly new fans discovering the NFL, but you will also find that a lot of fans do not know how to support their team properly, which can be frustrating for the diehard fans. So, if you want to be a good NFL fan but are not sure how or you simply want to know that you are indeed a good fan, then be sure to keep reading.

Support Your Childhood Or Local Team

First, you should support a team that makes sense. Instead of picking a team that wins a lot or whose logo you like, you should ideally choose the team from where you were born or your local team. If your family has a history of supporting a particular team, then this could be the team that you might support. If you are an international fan or do not have any team nearby, then you should spend time researching each team before making a decision.

Don’t Be A Fair-Weather Fan

One of the worst things that you can do as an NFL fan is to be a fair-weather fan. These are the fans that only show their support when things are going well and will not show any support or interest when the team is struggling. Similarly, bandwagoning is something that will irritate the true diehard fans – this involves switching your allegiance to whatever team is doing well at that particular time. Much like family, you should stick with your team once you have made your decision and not abandon them when things do not go well.

Don’t Bet Against Your Team

NFL betting is becoming increasingly popular and a great way to make games more exciting. However, you should never bet against your team, as this is a sacrilegious sin that any diehard fan would never forgive. Betting on your team to win is, however, is a great way to show your support and can make wins feel even greater. Of course, if deep down you do not think that they win, then you should simply bet on another game instead. NFL betting is easy to do online on your smartphone, and there are all kinds of bets, such as money lines, spreads and over/under bets.

Show Your Support

It is also important to show your support for your team. You should attend games when you can, watch them on television, buy and wear the merchandise and be vocal about your support. This is not easy when your team is struggling, but support can make a big difference to a franchise, and it is something that any true fan will do, no matter how the team is playing.

These are a few of the key rules of being a good NFL fan. You often see new fans make many mistakes when it comes to picking a team and supporting them, so you will want to avoid these and know how to be a good fan of your chosen team.

How do you become an NFL intern?

Becoming an NFL intern is one of the coolest ways to start your career journey with the NFL. Not only will it give you a chance to work on your resume but also experience in dealing with high-pressure situations and working as part of a team. Plus, you’ll get to meet some big names in the NFL and have inside information to bet on the NFL. So if you’re considering becoming an NFL intern, here’s a quick walkthrough.

Find an internship program:
Look for internship programs at your college or university that offer some sort of sports-related credit. If you’re a student-athlete, you can ask coaches and team managers if they know anyone who might be able to help you find an opportunity with the NFL.

Learn about the application process:
The application process for becoming an NFL intern varies from team to team. Some teams have online applications, while others require you to send a resume and cover letter. Most of them need you to fill out an application, which is usually available on their website.

The application period can be competitive, so make sure that you start early and research the team before applying. You should also make sure that your resume and cover letter are up to date, as it will help you stand out against other applicants.

Get help from your college or university’s career office:
One of the best places to start is your university’s career office. They can help you with your resume and cover letter as well as the application process. Many schools have internship programs that have connections with specific NFL teams, so it never hurts to ask about them. You may even be able to find out if any current interns in your field would be willing to talk with you about their experiences.

If this step doesn’t work out for some reason, don’t worry—there are still plenty more ways to get started!

Impress your interviewer with these tips:
Come to your interview with the proper attire, including a suit and tie if requested. You should also be well-groomed and smell good (wearing some mild cologne, perfume, or just a nice soap would also work). Also, make sure you have copies of your resume, cover letter, and references available for review during the interview.

Be confident and enthusiastic about the position you’re applying for and the organization where you’d like to intern. It’s not just about what goes on in an NFL stadium; it’s also about how players train at home, how the draft works, and many other things.

Conclusion:
If you’re prepared for the application and audition processes and make good impressions on interviewers, you can become an NFL intern. It may be challenging to get accepted into one of their internship programs, but it will be worth all the hard work!

When Should Jobseekers Use A PDF Resume?

If you recently got an opportunity to bag your dream job, chances are the recruiter or employer has specified the required resume format. Other times, they may not specify the resume file format, which leaves you in a dilemma. If this sounds familiar to you, don’t fret!

PDF resumes are widely preferred over word resumes for a number of reasons. First, they’re impossible to edit without the appropriate PDF resume editing software, which makes them more secure than word documents. Better yet, your PDF CV can be password-protected when sharing sensitive information. This guarantees much more stringent security measures against identity theft.

It makes sense to have your resume in both word and PDF for recruiters. When the latter is preferred, a PDF CV editor can quickly convert your word CV into an editable resume template PDF, so you can make changes directly on the document, convert it back into a word file, and vice versa. In this article, we’ll cover which situations warrant jobseekers to send in their resumes in a PDF format.

MS Word Resumes Don’t Always Turn Out Right

How often do you manually fix your resume’s formatting before submitting it in a word format? Anyone can open Word documents with a word editor. Unlike PDF files, how the contents of a word file are displayed across different devices is not always the same.

Word documents display differently depending on the following:

  • System differences.
  • Device differences.
  • Font incompatibility.
  • Display driver software differences.

Font compatibility issues are one of the biggest challenges when sharing your word resume with recruiters. For instance, if your selected font is unavailable on the recruiter’s computer, they will see an alternative font instead. Additionally, you may have to restructure your word file all the time before sending it to the recruiter.

The best solution to font compatibility issues is submitting your resume PDF. The PDF format is a fixed format where all elements of the file are in a structured Cartesian coordinate system (also known as the User Space). In this system, the page edges are arranged in boxes, with each box playing a specific purpose (examples of such boxes include the crop box, trim box, bleed box, art box, and MediaBox).

What’s more, the font characters and their positioning are embedded within the PDF file. Combined, these two features allow PDF readers to display content in a standardized format with little to no variations across different devices.

You Should Always Have A Backup

When applying for jobs, you need to have a backup in your cloud storage for easy access and retrieval. And what better way to archive your original resume than with PDF?

Word documents are the go-to option when you need to make frequent edits to your resume. However, the PDF format is the better option when it comes to storing files in their original form. The PDF format was originally designed to be shared in collaboration with others. But there are more reasons why PDF is better for storage:

  • PDF resumes are more reliable and flexible – You can access the stored data in its original form, whether it was stored in tables, images, graphs, etc., without the need for editing. As such, you can send your resume template PDF as-is before sending the file to the employer. You can also combine PDF files into one document if you have multiple files scattered all over your Google Drive or your desktop.
  • PDF files are secure – File security is of paramount importance when creating an online backup. Since personal information is present in your resume, you can password-protect it, which can be done quickly on PDF files.
  • PDF resumes can be accessed on the go – Whether the recruiter is checking out your resume on their mac, PC, or on their smartphone, they are likely to see the same thing. PDF also offers easier and faster navigation than word documents – for instance, the recruiter can skip to relevant sections in the document using the PDF reader’s quick search function and bookmarks.

What’s more, PDF resumes have a professional appeal. Unlike word documents that your recruiter’s text editor can scramble, PDF files stay intact regardless of the device.

Recruiters May Decide The Resume Format For You

Sometimes, the recruiter specifies the format of the applicant’s resume. This often happens when the recruiter works in a recruitment agency and needs editing access to your resume. Some of the edits that they made include:

  • Inserting branding material (logos and images).
  • Adding any missing information.
  • Scraping off unnecessary information.
  • For HR automation purposes.

In other cases, they may request word documents so that they can be scanned easily by the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). These systems are frequently used by large hiring companies that lack time to go through each applicant’s resume. However, the situation differs for smaller companies that prefer handling applications manually.

Essentially, the ATS system scans for specific keywords in your resume. Although these systems can scan through PDF files, older versions may or may not have the capacity to do so.

As such, the recruiter may prefer a word document. However, if they do not specify the format, a PDF resume is a much better option. Chances are, the recruiter could be using a newer ATS system, which is able to scan CV format PDF files. Regardless, PDF CVs are a much safer option since you can restrict who edits your personal information.

LinkedIn Profiles Aren’t Enough

LinkedIn is the world’s leading professional platform, with over 800 million users. Any recruiter will tell you that creating a LinkedIn profile is one of the first things successful applicants do when looking for a job. If you’re on a job hunt, some recruiters likely asked for your LinkedIn profile.

LinkedIn allows its members to create profiles that detail their work history, organizations, job titles, and location, among other recruitment information.

Sadly, LinkedIn profiles are no longer enough, and here’s why:

  • 34% of LinkedIn users lie on their profiles.
  • A LinkedIn profile is not a prerequisite to getting the job.
  • LinkedIn is prone to scams and identity theft.

Besides, LinkedIn is a social networking site where professionals meet to exchange ideas. As such, having a LinkedIn profile does not automatically guarantee that you will get a job. It boosts your online visibility and increases your chances of attracting the recruiter’s interest.

A resume is a more professional tool for recruitment. Unlike your LinkedIn profile, it contains conclusive detailed information about your work history, your contact information, experience level, education, and your value as a professional.

Conclusion

Resume format PDF resumes beat word CVs when it comes to reliability, security, accessibility, and compatibility on a wide range of devices. But there’s more. With the right CV online PDF editing software, you can easily convert your word resume into a PDF format, save it on your Google Drive, and make quick changes directly on your resume.

What Do the Bengals Need to Win Another Super Bowl?

Are the Bengals going for the win this year? What do they need to win another Super Bowl?

Given that the Cincinnati Bengals are an NFL playoff team this season once again, boasts an 11-4 record as we head into the final two weeks of the regular season, and currently sit at the top of the AFC North division as they seek back-to-back titles, it is clear that the Ohio franchise is looking to try and replicate their run of last season and go one better.

As many of us can all remember, the Bengals were the unlikeliest of challenges for the Super Bowl last season, however they managed to get to the premier event where they took on the Los Angeles Rams in the opponent’s own backyard: SoFi Stadium. Of course, the result was not quite what the team had in mind, but it seems that there is no hangover being experienced by the Bengal Nation.

Can the Bengals Return to the Super Bowl?

There is a lot of chatter around the NFL and even in the state of Ohio at the moment regarding the Bengals and whether they can make an instant return to the Super Bowl this season and finally win it. Last season’s appearance was the first time the team had managed to make the game in 33 years, and with recent campaigns having been rather disappointing, last season was a dream for many supporters.

However, times have changed under Zac Taylor and Joe Burrow, with the head coach and the quarterback appearing to have given the team an incredible chance of being able to challenge for honors with each season they are working together. Indeed, the team also has a number of star players on its roster, which naturally helps improve those odds, too.

So, can the team return to the Super Bowl for a second straight successive season? There is every reason that they could. As highlighted, the team already boasts an 11-4 record which has been good enough for the AFC North divisional leaders to capture a playoff berth and compete in the postseason in January.

Wanting to keep ahold of their crown as divisional champions, the Bengals have not let the fact that they know they will be playing in the postseason slow their season down, either. While there is still plenty to play for in the two final games of the regular season against the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens, the team went out and put on a clinic in their recent matchup with the New England Patriots following confirmation of their involvement in the playoffs.

The Bengals are in Fine Form

The organization is also in fine form as of this moment, with the team having won seven on the bounce, and with their home form (5-1) impeccable, the two upcoming contests will be played at the Paycor Stadium, thus feeling many around the team with confidence that they can get the job done when they take to the gridiron.

The form that has been shown throughout the vast majority of the season has provided staff, players, fans, and even some online bookmakers that are set to enter the Ohio sports betting market imminently with that same feeling of confidence in recent weeks, too. Some of these bookmakers are already offering punters the opportunity to take advantage of some Ohio sportsbook promotions which could be potentially utilized on markets such as reaching Super Bowl LVII by those who believe the Bengals will be able to make an immediate return.

However, while there is a degree of confidence about what could happen, will the Bengals actually be able to do what was once seen as impossible before the drafting of Joe Burrow?

Tough Challenges Lie Ahead

As highlighted already, the final two games of the 2022 NFL season are arguably two of the hardest fixtures that the Cincinnati Bengals could have possibly been handed this year, especially with how the campaign has turned out.

Of course, the confidence is there in regard to backing the Bengal Nation to get the job done and retain the AFC North title that had been captured the year before, however, with the Bills and the Ravens both set to come to Ohio, things could be a little tricky for the franchise.

Starting with the game on Monday Night Football, the Buffalo Bills are in a similar position to the Bengals in the regard that they know they have already clinched a playoff berth for the postseason. However, the Bills still have something else they are fighting for, which will make the upcoming game at the Paycor Stadium challenging to navigate.

The Bills are fighting for the overall No. 1 seed in the AFC and will know a win against the Bengals can help them to achieve it. This is because they hold the tiebreak over the Kansas City Chiefs, with both franchises currently 12-3 on the year and among the strongest teams in the NFL this season. The No. 1 seed is important in the playoff run, as it will mean the team who has it will receive a bye before having the home-field advantage in their postseason contests.

Following the conclusion of that game, the Bengals will then need to take on AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens; a team that could still end up as the divisional champions if they are able to win both their games and the Bengals lose both. The Ravens are currently 10-5 on the season, but a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers could crank up the tension and nerves experienced by those in Ohio and around the world that cheer on the Bengal Nation.

Super Bowl Run Can Happen

While there is still plenty of gridiron football left to be played, the Bengals have certainly put themselves in a strong position to try and return to the Super Bowl and compete for the NFL’s biggest prize. Of course, they have already qualified for the postseason, although many will suggest the hard work begins now.

Whether Burrow can replicate the impressive feats of last season and get the Bengals to the premier event once again remains to be seen, but it would not be wrong to assume that they could end up there once again based on how the organization has been performing in recent months.
