5 Tips for Choosing the Right Casual Belt for Men

Most fashion experts would say that accessories leave just as significant an impact as the entire outfit worn by a person. Men’s wear, for instance, needs appropriate accessories to complete or accentuate a specific look. These accessories can range from watches and jewelry to hats and men’s casual belts.

.
Often, accessories, particularly belts, are overlooked. Some men think that all belts are similar and that one type of belt can go with any outfit—be it formal or informal wear. In truth, each kind of belt is designed for a particular outfit or event. There are belts crafted for suits, while there are also those created for everyday wear. Knowing when to use the right kind of belt and determining high-quality belts from those that are not is wardrobe know-how that can come in handy.

As such, it would not be surprising if most men would find it challenging to choose the right kind of casual belt. Some casual belts are made of leather while some are made of suede. There are also belts made of canvas while some bear a woven design.

Below is a short and simple guide that will help clueless men choose the right belt to upgrade their look:

1. Choose a versatile design
It is always handy to own a casual belt that goes with almost any type of everyday outfit. Some designs, while flashy and eye-catching, may not blend well with several of your jeans and pants. Some designs may not even fit with your design aesthetic. Opt for belts in neutral colors or shades as these are easier to pair with a broader range of outfit and color combinations.

2. Invest in durable materials
Leather belts and even belts with nylon webbing are often more durable than other types of belts. There are also woven or stitched belts that are both stylish and sturdy. Some belts made of longer-lasting materials can be pricier. On the other hand, the price will be more worth it if you get a sleek accessory that you can use multiple times.

3. Consider the size of the belt
Bulky belts and belts with massive buckles do not fit well with all body types and aesthetics. If you like to pair belts with your office attire, then you have to make sure that the size of your belt is office appropriate. The recommended size for casual belts should be around 1-½” in width.

4. Find belts made of the same material and color as your shoes
One of the most basic fashion tips for wearing men’s casual belts is to match the belt with the material of the shoe. If you are wearing leather shoes, wear leather belts. Suede belts should be paired with suede shoes, and so on. Matching belts with shoes help balance and put together any outfit or clothing ensemble.

5. Pay attention to the buckles!
Simple and medium-sized buckles are easier to style. Belts with sleek and simple buckles can also fit a wider range of clothing preferences. Most of the time, belts with bold and branded buckles are best worn if you want to make a statement and a good first impression with your outfit.
Remember, choosing the right belt can help you look more put-together, visually appealing, and professional. Take these tips to heart if you want to leave a good and lasting impression in every gathering or event you attend.

Statistical Keys to Winning Bets in the 2020 NFL Season

This guide should be on every bettor’s bulletin board:

Josh Appelbaum (VSIN.COM) writes:

Week 1 provides several profitable edges that bettors should be aware of. According to Bet Labs Sports, Week 1 divisional underdogs have gone 51-32 ATS (61.4%) since 2003. This is due to the built in familiarity between divisional opponents, which levels the playing field and benefits the team getting points. Big Week 1 dogs getting 6.5 points or more have also been a smart bet, going 38-22 ATS (63.3%).

Another profitable opportunity in Week 1 is backing teams that missed the playoffs the previous year against teams that made the playoffs. They’ve gone 59-46 ATS (56.2%). This is the ultimate buy-low value play because you’re capitalizing on recency bias. The public will be inclined to blindly back teams who made the playoffs because that’s the last thing they remember from the previous year. In turn, they’ll blindly fade non-playoff teams. This creates a contrarian spot where you’re taking advantage of shaded numbers.

Aside from studying the Week 1 lines, another key aspect of the 2020 schedule is focusing on bye weeks and Thursday Night Football matchups. These unique scheduling spots have provided a significant edge to bettors in the past.

NFL teams coming off a bye are 254-228 ATS (52.7%) since 2003. However, we see a massive difference between underdogs and favorites. Dogs are just 105-125 ATS (45.7%). However, favorites are an impressive 148-103 ATS (59%). Road favorites are even better, going 62-28 ATS (68.9%). This is likely due to the fact that the betting public overvalues home field advantage, providing road favorites an increased contrarian edge.

Why are favorites off a bye so profitable? Because the extra week off disproportionally benefits the “better” team. Not only do they have more time to rest and rehab injuries but the coaching staff has two weeks to game-plan for the next opponent.

Bye weeks start in Week 5 and run through Week 13. Here are the bye weeks for all 32 teams.

Week 5: Lions, Packers

Week 6: Raiders, Patriots, Saints, Seahawks

Week 7: Colts, Jaguars, Vikings, Titans

Week 8: Cardinals, Ravens, Broncos, Texans, Steelers, Redskins

Week 9: Bengals, Browns, Rams, Eagles

Week 10: Falcons, Cowboys, Chiefs, Chargers

Week 11: Bills, Bears, Dolphins, Giants, Jets, 49ers

Week 12: No bye teams

Week 13: Panthers, Bucs

After bye weeks, the next scheduling spot to look out for is Thursday Night Football. The short week provides another pronounced edge bettors should be aware of. Since 2003, Thursday Night favorites have gone 113-83 ATS (57.7%). Home favorites are even better (73-50 ATS, 59.3%). Just as the extra time off benefits the “better” team, so does the short week. With both teams on a quick turnaround, the team with better players and a superior coaching staff has the advantage, especially if they’re at home at don’t have to travel.

Here’s the complete list of Thursday Night games this season

Week 2: Bengals at Browns

Week 3: Dolphins at Jaguars

Week 4: Broncos at Jets

Week 5: Bucs at Bears

Week 6: Chiefs at Bills

Week 7: Giants at Eagles

Week 8: Falcons at Panthers

Week 9: Packers at 49ers

Week 10: Colts at Titans

Week 11: Cardinals at Seahawks

Week 13: Cowboys at Ravens

Week 14: Patriots at Rams

Week 15: Chargers at Raiders

Week 12 is Thanksgiving. The three games on Turkey Day include Texans at Lions (12:30 p.m. ET), Redskins at Cowboys (4:30 p.m. ET) and Ravens at Steelers (8:20 p.m. ET).

Historically, favorites have crushed it on Thanksgiving. Since 2003, they’ve gone 31-13 ATS (70.5%).

2020 NFL Fantasy Draft Busts

In Fantasy Football we always want to be drafting players with high potential upside  i.e  buy low, sell high.  The draft busts are those that have peaked out but ignorant owners are still drafting them early.

Are These NFL Teams Trending Down in 2020?

We don’t really agree with the assessments in this video.  While these teams are unlikely to win more games than last year, it usually takes 2-3 seriously bad years  to go from “good” to “bad” in the NFL. The only team to really worry about in our opinion is Jacksonville with the weakest offense in the NFL and a horrible road record.

NFL Betting vs Online Casinos

Thanks to the advances in mobile technology, online gambling has blown up. Nowadays you can place bets from your smartphone regardless of the time or the place. And, all of the platforms that offer the activity are vetted and financially stable, so payouts are guaranteed. You just need to bet wisely.

It’s been two years since the ban of betting on commercial sports in the US has been lifted. One that was in place due to a 1992 federal law. It was thought that it would open doors to legalizing more than $150 billion in illegal bets placed each year.

Of course, the industry didn’t even get close to these numbers. It also hasn’t gotten close to its other online gambling compatriot, digital casinos. These bring in annual revenues of $60 billion worldwide, and that number is projected to rise to $90 billion in 4 years. So, why is it that these platforms are so far ahead? Well, for one, they’ve been on the scene for over two and a half decades, and there are a ton of options. An exceptional choice is novibet.co.uk (non-USA), a platform that offers both, sports and casino betting.

Seeing as football is the most popular sport in the US, and enticing to bet on. It’s intriguing to see how gambling on it compares to doing the same at an online casino.

Odds vs House Edge

In sports betting the odds are calculated according to the probability of the result of a game. Who’s playing, where are they playing, the run they been on, and so on? All these play a factor in determining the odds. To win many times over your initial bet, you’d have to land a major upset.

With casinos, the platform always has a mathematical advantage over the player, who knows and understands the exact percentage. However, that number is valid in the long-term, and it states that over time you can’t beat the casino. But, in the short-term, anything is possible.

Availability of Bets

You can’t bet on NFL games whenever you feel like it. The first condition is that a game has to be scheduled and take place. So, if you get the itch and the season hasn’t started, you’ll have to bet on other sports or games from less popular leagues.

Casino betting, on the other hand, is a 24/7, 365 day a year thing. It’s also not bound by world-events, like pandemics.

Variety

Now, you may be thinking – “do you know how many different types of bets I can place on a football game?” There’s pass completion, the type of play the offense will call next, and so on. If you’ve never played a slot, then you don’t know that some of these games offer thousands of winning combinations that pay out different amounts.

Then, you can compare the 256 games that take place during one NFL season, to close to 5,000 available slot games online, and every single type of live table game ever created.
