FILM STUDY: Seattle’s New Safety Jamal Adams is He Worth the Trouble and Money?

Jamal Lee Adams (born October 17, 1995) is an American football strong safety for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU, and was drafted sixth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. Adams quickly became an impactful starter for the Jets, making the Pro Bowl twice and being named an All-Pro, but after conflict with the Jets’ management, demanded a trade and was sent to Seattle prior to the 2020 season. WE do not like Adams mouth and lack of loyalty – but he is a helluva safety!

FILM STUDY: Has Aaron Rodgers Lost His Edge?

He’s still definitely an all-pro top 5 quarterback . But we don’t think it’s quite to the level of what we saw from 2010-2016. While he still puts up good numbers, has clutch moments, and makes jaw dropping throws, he did so on more of a regular basis from 10-16 in a way that was almost unfair to the rest of league. Go back and watch some games from that period and compare them to games from the last 3 years and you’ll see what we mean. While he’s certainly still a GREAT player, he was just on another level consistently during those early years.

He has definitely taken a few steps back. He’s almost TOO conservative now days and he has weaknesses in his game. But he can still thrive if they play good players around him.

FILM STUDY: Will Charger’s New QB Justin Herbert Be a Bust in 2020?

Los Angeles Chargers’ Quarterback Justin Herbert from the University of Oregon. Herbert was taken 6th overall in the NFL draft, but he has many red flags and will unfortunately fail in the NFL. “His mechanics are inconsistent, he struggles to throw the ball with multiple tempos and he is shockingly inaccurate.” This episode uses the all-22 coaches film to determine whether Herbert will be successful in the NFL.

We don’t know if he will be a bust – but he will have to work very hard. The NFL is a tough league to
win in and inconsistency is not tolerated very long!
