Top Three Quarterbacks in the 2015 NFL draft (archival article)

While a lot of teams in the NFL feel like they already have a franchise quarterback to count on, there are going to be teams looking for that type of guy in the 2015 NFL draft. It might not be the most outstanding year for quarterbacks, but there are a few who have an opportunity to become starters rather quickly. Here is a look at who might be able to take a franchise to another level.

Jameis Winston

In his redshirt freshman year, Winston made a name for hiimself as a nationalchampion and a Heisman Trophy winner. However, a lot of people are goingto focus on some of his transgressions off of the field as reasons to doubt his character a little bit. He seems to be maturing quickly, and a lot of mock drafts have him as the number 1 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have been desperately looking for a franchise type of guy, and he certainly has the arm strength and the size to be solid in the NFL.

Marcus Mariota

Like Winston, Mariota goes into the draft with the Heisman Trophy alreaady to his name. He has some people doubting him as well, but that has to do with the type of style he played at the college level. There are some scouts who feel like Oregon made him look better than he actually is. His draft position seems a little bit trickier, but someone in the 1st round is going to take a chance on him. In fact, slipping out of the top 10 seems almost impossible.

Brett Hundley

After the top 2 prospects, there is a chance that we do not see another quarterback drafted until the 3rd round. There are going to be some options for teams at that time, as Bryce Petty and Garrett Grayson could go in that round as well. Hundley just seems like the guy with the most potential right now. He was able to have quite a bit of success at UCLA, and he has the armstrength to compete at the highest level.

New Age Message For “Naughty Boy” Antonio Brown (Humor)

The quantum soup is bursting with electromagnetic resonance:
Life is the knowledge of wonder, and of us. We exist as NFL transmissions.
Imagine a summoning of what could be.

By unfolding, we believe. Nothing is impossible. We heal, we reflect, we are reborn.

Our conversations with other mystics have led to a refining of ultra-zero-point consciousness. Throughout history, humans have been interacting with the nexus via electromagnetic resonance. We are at a crossroads of understanding and bondage.

Karma is a constant. Knowledge requires exploration. You and I are seekers of the quantum cycle.

Only a Indigo Child of the cosmos may ignite this wellspring of complexity!

Without coherence, one cannot live. Ego is the antithesis of conscious living. Stagnation is born in the gap where choice has been excluded.

FILM STUDY: Preseason Week 2: QB Kyle Murray: weak, QB Haskins: having some fun

We are gaining more data on these rookies… Is Mr. Murray too small? I don’t like that he seems to get too deep in the pocket.

The No. 1 overall pick didn’t look like a generational talent against the Raiders. Murray couldn’t get into a rhythm as a playmaker and his clapping at the snap led to a pair of penalties. With the rookie passer also taking two sacks while directing an offense that only mustered 12 yards of total offense during the first four possessions, the Cardinals need to get better play from their QB1.

WATCH: Chicago Bears’ Amazing New Power Back

“David Montgomery is the type of running back that head coaches love. He’s someone who always has hit pad-level low when going into contact and he’s always going to fall forward to gain that extra yard. His balance is what allows him to do that, as he has great control of his momentum no matter which way he’s shifting. There was a carry in the game versus Washington State where he spun off one defender, side-stepped the next, and then carried multiple defenders for a seven-yard gain in what should have been a three-yard loss!” — FantasyPros

FF-Winners.com Reveals: Top Wagers for 2018 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

There’s no question that the 2018 NFL Draft will be defined by the five quarterbacks who were taken in the first round. But, it’s hard for most quarterbacks to see immediate success, given the steep learning curve they face when transitioning from the college game to the NFL.

Given that, who are the favorites to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award after this season? Here are three names to consider:

Ronald Jones (+3300) – They say the best gamblers aren’t so much looking at who’ll win, as much as they are looking for the best value for their wager. If you happen to be among the latter group, then running back Ronald Jones of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be right up your alley. Somewhat overlooked as the fifth running back taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, Jones was one of the most explosive running backs in the nation last year, finishing with 1,550 yards and 19 rushing touchdowns (both of which were top 10 among all running backs in college football). Playing within an offense that features skill position guys like Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson (and young talents on the cusp of breaking out, like O.J. Howard and Chris Godwin), there is plenty of space for Jones to gash defenses. It’s just a matter of time before he assumes the full-time job as the Buccaneers’ starting running back.

Sam Darnold (+1600) – Baker Mayfield was the surprise and Josh Allen was the prototype, which led to everyone forgetting the fact that Sam Darnold was the guy that most teams had declared as the best quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft. The New York Jets – and their fans – should be thanking every religious being of their choosing for the fact that he fell to them at the #3 overall pick, because they might’ve finally solidified the position for the next decade. Darnold’s ability to scramble around the pocket and create big plays by delivering well-time darts down the field makes him eerily reminiscent of a bigger Tony Romo. Anyone paying attention to the happenings in the Tri-State area knows that Darnold looks like he has a stranglehold on the starting quarterback job for the Jets. If he has a good year, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him emerge as a surprise challenger for this award.

Saquon Barkley (+140) – In reality, everyone knows this award is Saquon Barkley’s to lose. The running back with the generational physical talents and well-rounded game is a virtual lock to accumulate at least 250 touches this year (if not substantially more), given the fact that the New York Giants invested the #2 overall pick in the draft on him. At 5’10 and 230lbs, with the strength of a linebacker and the speed of a cornerback, Barkley is like a human cheat code. An accurate comparison that many have made for him, given his talents as a runner and a pass catcher, as well as his size and his strength, is Todd Gurley – that’s the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year. Without any sense of hyperbole, Barkley possesses that level of talent.

PODCAST: Who Should I Draft #1 in NFL Fantasy Football?

FF-Winners.Com Agrees with the Choice from these 4 Amazing Running Backs!

Patrick Mahomes’ Run Is Just Beginning

Patrick Mahomes had plenty to smile about in the 2018 season.

When it comes to selecting fantasy teams, it’s always easier to go for the established players. You can check their form, comb through their stats and make a considered decision. Drafting a big-name quarterback is usually the safe choice, with the likes of the Packers’ Aaron Rogers or the Patriots’ Tom Brady being expensive choices, but usually offering plenty of bang for your buck.

Rewarding the risk takers
It takes real guts to take a risk on a rookie quarterback with just one NFL start under his belt; but those who did just that last year, with the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahones, were richly rewarded. Mahones was the breakout star of the 2018 season and almost sent the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. He not only broke several records, and scored plenty of points for his fantasy football faithful, but he also collected a bunch of awards.
Mahones was named in the Pro Bowl, made first team All-Pro and was the NFL Offensive Player of the year. To top all that, he was voted the NFL MVP, perhaps the most coveted accolade in the game. What’s more, he is widely predicted to do the same again this season.

A spectacular season
Mahones’ 2018 season stats make remarkable reading—he amassed a total of 5,097 yards and 50 touchdown passes in the regular season and a further 573 yards in his two post-season games. He more than earned his reported $16.42 million contract by opening his account with 256 yards and four touchdown passes against the Los Angeles Chargers. From there he went two better, with six touchdown passes (and 326 yards) against the Pittsburgh Steelers—and that’s without a single interception in either game. But this was no flash in the pan. Mahones was the real deal, and he was out to prove himself as one of the greats, throwing a season-record 478 yards against the Rams in week 11 and ending the year as only the second player in history to throw 5000 yards and 50 TDs in a single season.
For those who did their Ma-homework, he was a real find and a bargain buy. But while there is no doubt that he will be throwing and scoring freely again this season, his price tag for 2019 will surely reflect this. You can always try to dig out the next big thing, but the chances of finding another Patrick Mahones are pretty slim.
